Community Compost Launch

Launch on the corner of Albion Hill

and Belgrave Street

Tuesday 8th August

We will be around from 5pm to start our compost scheme – come along and find out more about reducing landfill waste and making compost.

Or for info email ianmac100@talktalk.net

People who join will get a compost caddy and the code to the compost bins.

What are the benefits of a Community Compost Scheme?

  1. Reduce the amount of waste you sends to landfill

  2. More space less smell – because your domestic bin is not full of useful organic matter

  3. Recycles waste into valuable, nutrient rich compost which scheme members can have a share in. Any leftovers will be put to good use in the community.

Funded and supported by Brighton & Hove Council and Brighton & Hove Food Partnership. There are currently 30 schemes in operation across the city, composting the food waste from over 1000 households.
