Next meeting and other stuff…

The next LAT meeting will be on Tuesday April 17th – 7pm at the Hanover, and this will also be our AGM where we will look back over the past year and ahead into the future….

At the last meeting (for mins see HERE) we talked a lot of rubbish, partly discussing the Refuse & Recycling theme of the developing Neighbourhood Action Plan, and partly looking at a report which was presented by a resident suggesting that communal bins close to buildings may present a fire risk.  Both of these topics will be picked up again this time, with input from BHCC Cityclean and Corporate health & Safety team who will be in attendance to speak to these issues.

Also on the agenda is the Collaboration Fund update. Those at the last meeting will remember that Tim Read from the council Restorative Practice Team attended to speak about his work, and opportunities to use this approach to tackle local issues – particularly graffiti. Since this meeting we have had the opportunity to bid to the council collaboration fund, as part of the Neighbourhood Plan Community Coalition, and are hoping for good news on this bid to be shared at the meeting.

Regarding the Community Coalition, we held a great event at the Hanover Centre on March 19th, getting local views on the developing plan. If you haven’t checked it yet, look HERE for the latest version and how to give your views and get involved. Our next public event will be at Spring in the Patch on April 29th.

Here is the April 17th agenda so far – please let us know if there are any things you would like to add.

  1. Welcome and Introductions
  2. Apologies for Absence
  3. AGM  – Election of Chair and Secretary
  4. Minutes of Previous Meeting – Matters Arising – Fire Risk Commmunal Bins
